Lily of the valley, Convallaria majalis, sometimes written lily-of-the-valley, is a woodland flowering plant with sweetly scented, pendent, bell-shaped white flowers borne in sprays in spring. It is native throughout the cool temperate Northern Hemisphere in Asia and Europe. Also growing in my side garden.Part I: Fixture Assembly:1. Connect the wires to the socket by feeding them through the connector holes in back of the socket- the black wire connects to the hot contact (brass colored)- the white wire connect to the neutral contact (silver colored)(use a continuity checker to verify the wires are connected to the right pathway)2. Feed the socket cover through the other end of the wire and connect it to the socket3. Screw the 1"� metal nipple into the socket 4. Run the wire through the drum shade spider ring 5. Next the flush mount goes through the wire. Rest it dish side up on the spider ring6. Run the star-lock washer through the wire until it sits on the flush mount7. Secure the socket and the flush mount to the drum shade with the 1/2"� nut. Tighten it using your wrench or pliers. It should not be loose. 8. Cut the wire to length. Leave at least 6"�Part II House Install:9. Secure the bracket to the ceiling can-light using the two 8/32"œ screws10. Connect the fixture to the house wiring- the black wire connects to the hot contact- the white wire connect to the neutral contact- resecure with the wire nut and electrical tape(use a continuity checker to verify the wires are connected to the right pathway)11. Secure the flush mount to the bracket on either side using the two 6/32"� screws12. Screw in the light bulb13. Peel both sides of the diffuser bottom protection layer off. 14. Feed the diffuser bottom through the drum shade and rest it on the bottom ring. Adjust as needed using the suction cups to pull the diffuser down. 15.
