These hand woven placemats are created from a water vine that only grows in the mountainous areas of the South Pacific. Once reaped it grows back quickly, leaving no damage in these ecologically sensitive forests. They can be easily rinsed off because of the durability of the material. Each piece has a card attached, signed by the artisan that created it. It also lists the time it took for he or she to weave.
