The city has become known as the "City of Sails" because of the high number of boats. Auckland''s tallest structure is Sky Tower. At 1,076 feet, it is the tallest free-standing structure in the Southern Hemisphere. Auckland''s tallest office building, at 551 feet, is the Royal and SunAlliance Centre, which is the tall, white building to the left of Sky Tower. To its right is the 42-story ANZ Centre.
