This is an early 20th century Hawkeye basket. The refrigerated split weave picnic basket features a metal lining with compartment for ice. Aged canvas straps once sealed the basket, as hinged handles carry it on its way.CONDITIONIn fair condition with wear consistent with age and use. Lid sealer shows warp. Partial loss of canvas straps. General rust and age to the metal lining.
