Country Musicians tapestry features an elaborate scene of villagers and musical instruments. In the mille fleur style of tapestry making, we see the medieval style background of "a thousand flowers" to give the countryside scene a representation of nature and decoration of flowers. Here in this piece, we see musicians playing the pipe organ, the oval medieval guitar (Guitarra Morisca) and singing and dancing. A small child and a lamb are also seen here enjoying the scene. The musicians are dressed in elaborate attire as they play by the well.Please note: Rods and tassles not included.
