The tall building centered in the photograph with two white antennae is the Bank of China Tower and to its right with the pyramid-shaped roof is Central Plaza. The territory had been under British control since 1841 and returned to China in 1997. Hong Kong, one of the world''s major financial centers, capitalizes on its time zone advantages and keeps four stock exchanges open around the clock.
