The alder wood goes through an extensive process to result in the stunning beauty of the finished product. It is hand sanded to achieve dramatic distressing and then stained to highlight all the dimension created by the rustic ridges. The wood is then whitewashed to soften the color while adding a glacial aesthetic. The wood is finished in a dark glaze for added depth and a laquer topcoat for protection.
