Modern technology has improved the dye process to allow a wider range of colors as well as more stable and easier to care for colors. Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted ( handmade ) thick Persian rug with long soft wool pile. Gabbeh like many other types of Persian rugs is made with local handspun wool and vegetable dye."
